How about to make some mistakes
Last night, I listened to a short speech online. It was so impressive, and I tried to think of my life, all my past, try to find out if there was any chance I ever thought the same way.
It was said: when we were very little, people used to ask what we wanted to be in the future, and our answers were like astronaut, doctor, president, etc. When we were like ten, people asked the same question again. We tried to give a better answer, but it’s complicated. After we graduated from high school and even university, we didn’t know how to answer this question.
Therefore, some will say what a hell I should know.
We are young, and there are lots of possibilities in our life. We may make mistakes, and it is the perfect time for making mistakes. Only in this way, we can learn to understand ourselves, to know who really we are, what we are supposed to pursue.
We are also lucky, because there are enough time to turn around, to change and to fix problems. Why do people push us to give an uncertain response before we can really figure things out? Isn’t it a good choice to fix all the mess and to explore a better life?
I recalled the old times in my life, and there weren’t many opportunities for making mistakes, because parents wouldn’t allow me. They got plans on me, in order to help me get rid of “possible troubles” in life. So I walked down the road they believed and suggested. When I grown up, it’s hard for me to accept failure or loss, but life is serious without fluke. Then, after all the lessons I understand there is a part of me was wrongly educated. It’s never embarrassing if you failed something, and it’s more important if you could find a chance to fix your problems and to move on.
We will be parents later, and we do have expectation with kids. It is really hard to stop nagging. But, I want to be a mother who can tell my kids: how about to make some mistakes, then you can tell me your decision.
